Cuckmere Buses has 45 years experience in providing shopping and leisure services to remote locations off the beaten track in East Sussex. Group hire also available. 16 seat minibuses with single-step entrance and space for 1 wheelchair user.

Our Mission is providing a safe, reliable and courteous local bus, serving those rural and urban communities in our part of East Sussex not served by the commercial bus companies.

The company has been operating for over 40 years and currently runs a fleet of eight 16-seater mini-buses from its base in Berwick. It operates over 25 timetabled services each week taking people to their nearest centres for shopping, appointments, or for pleasure. The company also operates summer leisure services and offers private hire facilities. It provides special annual services for Nature Valley International Tennis in Eastbourne, and the Charleston festivals.

The company is run entirely by volunteers including 50 fully trained drivers.

The ongoing support from local authorities and passengers helps meet our regular annual cash costs thereby ensuring the wheels on the buses keep turning. The support received from local authorities is greatly appreciated.
